Smiling for me as a young girl meant showing all my upper gums and squinting my eyes. As I got older in my teens, I became self conscious about it. I had my first photographer work with me and have me practice at home in front of a mirror. "Put the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth and then smile," he said to keep my eyes wide open and not show any gums. After much practice - it finally became natural for me. Try it for yourself!
